Moxi or BBL?

January 22, 2026

In this post, we’ll break down Moxi and BBL to help guide you toward the treatment that best matches your skin goals. Every patient’s skin tells a different story that is shaped by genetics, sun exposure, lifestyle, and aging. That’s why at Natural State Aesthetics, we never believe in a one-size-fits-all approach to laser facials.

Some patients want to correct years of sun damage, while others are focused on prevention and maintaining youthful skin. The right laser facial depends on your unique skin concerns, your timeline, and your desire for results that look natural, refined, and long-lasting. Whether you choose BBL, Moxi, or a combination of both, these treatments are designed to enhance and restore your skin to its healthiest.

BBL: Best for Tone, Pigment, and Redness

Known as our “Redness be Gone” facial, BBL (BroadBand Light) is one of the most powerful, low-downtime treatments available for improving overall skin tone and clarity. This advanced light-based technology targets pigmentation at its source while also supporting long-term skin health.

What BBL treats:

-Sun damage and age spots

-Redness and rosacea

-Broken capillaries

-Acne

BBL works by delivering precise pulses of light that correct discoloration while stimulating collagen production over time. This makes it ideal for patients who want visible improvement with minimal disruption to their routine.

Who BBL is best for:
BBL facials are perfect for patients who notice blotchiness, sun spots, or redness and want a brighter, more even complexion.

What to expect:
When you arrive for your treatment, you’ll meet with our laser specialist and aesthetician, Chase, who will walk you through the entire process from start to finish. Your appointment will last approximately one hour in a quiet, relaxing setting. During treatment, BBL typically feels like a quick rubber-band snap or gentle warmth on the skin.

As you finish your facial, Chase will review post-procedure care with you and provide a post procedure facial kit and routine to help you achieve the best possible results. Most patients see progressive improvement with a series of treatments. We recommend 3–6 sessions spaced 4–6 weeks apart.

Moxi Laser: Best for Melasma, Large Pores, and Texture

Moxi is a non-ablative laser that uses microscopic zones of heat and is designed for patients who want to stay ahead of aging. It focuses on improving skin texture while helping prevent future damage before it becomes visible.

What Moxi treats:

-Early signs of aging

-Uneven texture

-Mild pigmentation and melasma

-Dull or tired-looking skin

Who Moxi is best for:
This laser facial is ideal for first time laser clients or anyone committed to maintaining healthy skin long term. It’s safe for all skin types and can be performed year-round.

What to expect:
Similar to your BBL facial, Moxi treatments are performed by our laser specialist, Chase. A medical-grade topical numbing cream is applied to keep you as comfortable as possible.

Downtime is minimal, though you can expect up to a week of mild redness, dryness, or a rough skin texture. Your post-procedure kit will help manage these effects, and as always, our providers are available by phone or text if you have questions. Results develop gradually and will leave your skin smoother, brighter, and more resilient over time. For optimal results, we recommend 3–6 treatments spaced 4–6 weeks apart.

Can You Combine Laser Treatments?

Many of our patients benefit from a customized combination plan, allowing us to address multiple skin concerns while preserving a refined, glowy appearance. For many patients, this is where the best results happen. Combining treatments allows us to layer results strategically improving tone, texture, and collagen stimulation in a comprehensive way.

For example, pairing BBL with Moxi known as our Pigment Be Gone facial can dramatically improve pigmentation while enhancing overall skin quality. These combination plans are carefully designed during your consultation to ensure optimal results without unnecessary downtime taken out of your schedule.

If you’re ready to invest in your long term skin health we invite you to schedule a consultation and discover which laser facial(s) are right for you.
