What is it?
Drooping of the upper eyelid that causes the eyelid to partially obstruct vision.

What causes it?
Ptosis has multiple causes, but dehiscence or stretching of the levator muscle located in the upper eyelid is the most common. This occurs most frequently with age. It may also occur following certain eye procedures.

Surgery
During this surgical procedure, the muscle is advanced lifting the margin of the eyelid. Surgery can be done under light sedation at an outpatient surgical center

Downtime
Recovery time is generally 2-3 weeks.
