What To Expect

Treatment begins with a customized facial to prep the skin, followed by the laser treatment, a healing mask, and aftercare products to take home. BBL and Moxi treatments may cause mild redness and a sandpaper texture for 1-3 days as pigment comes to the surface before flaking off. Opus Plasma may cause more noticeable downtime of 3-5 days. Your provider will walk you through what to expect for your specific treatment.

    Results

Individual results vary by treatment type and skin condition.

    Downtime

BBL: Minimal. Mild redness for a few hours, pigmented spots may darken for 3-7 days before flaking off. Moxi: 1-3 days of mild redness and a sandpaper texture. Opus Plasma: 3-5 days of more noticeable redness and skin texture changes.

    Ideal Candidate

Anyone looking to address sun damage, uneven skin tone, redness, or early signs of aging. BBL is one of the most researched anti-aging treatments available and is appropriate for a wide range of skin concerns. Patients with active tans or very dark skin tones may not be candidates for certain treatments — suitability is assessed at your consultation.

    Frequency

Most patients see progressive improvement over the series, with continued improvement in the weeks following the final session. Maintenance treatments 1-2 times per year help preserve results.

    FAQ

What is thedifference between BBL and Moxi?

BBL (BroadBand Light) uses intense pulsed light to target pigmentation, redness, and vascular concerns. Moxi is a non-ablative laser that gently resurfaces the skin to improve tone, texture, and early sun damage. They are often used together for comprehensive results — our Pigment Be Gone and Bright & Tight packages combine both.

    What is Opus Plasma?

Opus Plasma combines radiofrequency energy with plasmatechnology to tighten skin and improve texture. It is particularly effectivefor skin laxity, fine lines, and overall firmness. It has more downtime thanBBL or Moxi but delivers significant tightening results.

Do I need afull series or can I do single treatments?

Single a la carte treatments are available, but a series of 3 is recommended for lasting results and is significantly more cost-effective. Most skin concerns respond best to multiple treatments spaced 3-6 weeks apart.

Will my skin look worse before it looks better?

For pigment treatments, yes temporarily. Sunspots and discoloration often darken for a few days before the top layer of skin sheds, revealing clearer skin underneath. This is a normal and expected part of the process — your provider will prepare you for what to expect.
